Balat and Fener are two of Istanbul's oldest neighborhoods. Listed as UNESCO world heritage sights they are the historic Jewish and Greek quarter.
There were hardly any other tourists during our walk, which was nice. The neighborhoods now are known for traditional wooden homes and bright colored facades and laundry out to dry- all which we saw a lot of. A few pics from our walk in fener and balat:
